Internship abroad for UT VCA students
The Internship provides the student with an opportunity to observe and participate in the application of theories learned in previous courses, and to see these in the context of the community and organization in which the Internship takes place.
The general objective of the internship is to support the convergence of theory and practice, encouraging students to learn from internship and put the acquired knowledge into practice.
More and more students of Bachelor’s and Master’s Studies are using the EU higher education programme Erasmus for an international internship. Participating in the programme guarantees the scholarship that comprises travelling and living benefit.
The students of UT Viljandi Culture Academy can do their international internship with a minimum length of 3 months. Within the Erasmus programme our students can do their internship in 31 European states that have joined the programme: 26 EU countries plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey, Croatia and Switzerland.
Students find the internshipplacements on their own. If necessary they may ask for help from their departmental internship coordinator or the Specialist of International Relations at UT VCA, Mr. Markus Peter Nagel (mpnagel(at)kultuur.edu.ee). The internship may be carried out in any company or organisation if its field of action and profile coincide with the demands of the student’s internship.
The content of internship carried out in a foreign country has to be agreed with the internship specialist of the department and the company.
To apply for the Eramus benefits to co-finance an internship abroad the student has to present the following documents:
1) Application for international internship benefit (in Estonian)
2) Tripartite internship contract
3) CV, if necessary the credentials on the command of foreign language
4) Motivation letter
