Kristi Markov and Tuulike Kivestu joint exhibition “Two Others”
UNIVERSITY OF TARTU CENTRE FOR ARTS GALLERY
Uppsala 10, I and II floor, Mon–Fri 9–17.
Opening on September 9, at 4 PM. The exhibition remains open until November 8th 2019.
Exhibited digital photo collages are actuated by the themes that have already for a while made the author's heads explode.
Why are some lies better or more permissible than others? Why do we diligently perform rituals which meaning, necessity and effect we do not analyse? But why are we careless about some ancient traditions, but cling with our ten nails to others? Why? Why? Why?
The moments captured by Tuulike and her camera have been set to messages by Kristi.
Kristi Markov is a freelance artist who just started her studies in Media Graphics at the Estonian Academy of Arts. Kristi is two years older than Tuulike.
Tuulike Kivestu is also a freelancer and two years younger than Kristi Markov. Tuulike studies photography at Pallas University of Applied Sciences and illustration at Tartu Art School.
The authors thank their Granny who has brought them up so nicely.
