As paraphrased from an important book - at first there was Culture and Culture was at the College and... or vice versa. No one remembers exactly how it started anymore. One thing, however, is certain. Alle-aa! was there at the very beginning and Ando was somewhere and a little bit later there was Anzori - Vägilased were always in the picture. The Academy started from Anzori and the Festival came to be because of Ando. Time went past and both of these entities have become vibrant 25-year-olds with numerous descendants like Untsakad, Käntsakad, Pontsakad, Kentsakad, Vägilased, Oort, etc.
At the 25+25 jubilee gala, contemporary renditions of the music by Alle-aa, Untsakad, Oort, Vägilased, RO:TORO, Svjata Vatra, Paabel,Torupilli Jussi Trio, Curly Strings and Trad.Attack! will be played. A unique band of students and lecturers from UT Viljandi Culture Academy will be providing musical backgrounds to the soloists from these bands.
