Apply for new Sound and Visual Technology master's programme
The sound and visual technology are two of the most engaging and rapidly developing fields in culture. Therefore, according to programme manager Kadri Steinbach, it is important to open a new master’s programme. “We are currently offering first level education on both specialities and our alumni are very much needed in the job market,” said Steinbach.
The students will choose either sound or visual technology as their main speciality, but they will also gain an in-depth working knowledge of the other field. Practice is at the core of the curriculum, and the students will apply what they have learned in the classroom straight away in practical activities and by working in creative teams.
The studies will be fully in English. “The international curriculum will hopefully bring international students to the academy, which will increase the visibility of Viljandi Culture Academy on the field of higher education in Estonia and abroad,” added Steinbach.
The study period is altogether two years and the tuition is 4000 euros per year. The curriculum has 10 spots, from among which 3 tuition waivers are available.
