Registration for Estonian handicraft summer camp is open!
This summer the Native Crafts Department invites people to participate in Craft Camp 2014. It is a handicraft camp that aims to introduce Estonian handicraft by giving an overview of traditional handicraft techniques from Estonia and to learne the modern usage of those techniques.
The camp takes places in Olustvere, Estonia from 13-18 July 2014.
All instructors and teachers are fully qualified masters of their skill and many have been teaching for years. Participants can attend three courses out of this selection:
- glass ware
- birch bark
- wrist warmers
- laces and ribbons
- afghan pouch
- bone items.
All items produced in workshops will be the participants. A field trip of choice (to Viljandi county, Tartu or Setomaa) will take place as well.
Early bird registration will be open until 31 March. The registration ends on 13 June. Please see further information about the camp here.
